Dimensional Weaving Research

This work was done thanks to the University of Wisconsin Madison’s School of Human Ecology Center for Design and Material Culture’s 2024 Chipstone Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship. The goal of this research was to push the limits of woven textiles that we would normally consider 2-D objects, and create 3-D weaving structures. This work is driven by the responsiveness and flexibility of textiles & uses double weave techniques.
